San Antonio proudly unveiled the largest “La Catrina” statue in the United States, standing at an impressive 38.5-feet tall in Maverick Plaza at La Villita. This striking figure, adorned with a lighted butterfly and a flower-festooned hat, is the second largest “Calavera Catrina” statue in the world.

The towering Catrina was created by Mexican artists and brothers Jesus and Amauri Sanabria and their team from Artsumex Colectivo de Arte Mexicano, known for their work on the James Bond film Spectre.
