The towering Catrina was created by Mexican artists and brothers Jesus and Amauri Sanabria and their team from Artsumex Colectivo de Arte Mexicano, known for their work on the James Bond film Spectre. The Calavera Catrina, a popular Day of the Dead symbol, has origins dating back to 1913, when printmaker José Guadalupe Posada first depicted her as a satirical reminder that death transcends social status..
