Chula Dair
Mother Death on the Horizon

“Mother Death on the Horizon” depicts a futuristic landscape of life constantly persisting. The green moth symbolizes an atomic bomb that seeps out green ooze onto a land that is all too familiar with the moth’s presence. To the left of this new land is a blooming baby chrysanthemum , symbolizing the joys of life persisting and the growth of Mother Nature. On the right of the land is a chrysanthemum symbolizing Mother Nature herself. She’s looking back towards Mother Death with tears in her eyes as she knows before all who is just on the horizon. Mother death, symbolized through a moth of darkness waits for her time to come. Her dark presence already started to cover the land in smog.
