San Antonio Zoo hosts Zoo Boo!, a fun, non-scary Halloween event for the entire family. Little ghouls and goblins are encouraged to wear their best costumes to participate in a daily costume contest. Children of all ages and adults are welcome to dawn non-scary, family-friendly costumes.

 Zoo Boo! runs daily from Sept. 18 through Halloween from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Sunday through Friday, and 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Saturdays.

The Day of the Dead is a Mexican holiday celebrated in Mexico and elsewhere associated with the Catholic celebrations of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day. The multi-day holiday involves family and friends gathering to pray for and to remember friends and family members who have died. Artists-Crafters-Bakers-Fresh Flowers Vendors. Altar exhibit, photo ops, costume contest and so much more!

Pearl continues its annual tradition of celebrating Día de los Muertos (celebrated November 1-2), with a community altar, the altar is dedicated to the San Antonio community and all of their loved ones who have passed away. The artists will use ethereal elements in the space like cempasúchil (marigolds), papel picado, and strands of tinsel to give visitors the feeling that they are walking into a place of worship.  October 30 through November 7.

It’s a little bit spooky and a whole lot of spectacular at the Culinaria Hallowine Run! On October 30, 2021, don your best costume and head to The Shops at La Cantera for the festive fun! Celebrate the spirit of Halloween with the Hallowine Run 5k by dressing up in costume, trick or treating and dancing the day away!

Centro Cultural Aztlan is pleased to continue the tradition in presenting our 44th annual Día de los Muertos exhibition, Altares y Ofrendas. This year we are returning to in-person events and we hope you join us!This event illustrates the artistic, cultural, and religious facets of this popular pre-Columbian Mexican tradition where death is seen as a natural part of life and this reality is approached with humor a celebration of life. Photographs of loved ones passed grace altars as well as offerings of food, marigolds, incense, candles, and other traditional offerings.
