Through vibrant colors and symbolic imagery, I reflect on our Mexican heritage , the resilience passed down through generations, and the beauty of growing up in the desert. This piece honors our culture, our connection to the land, and the legacy we continue to build.

Eva Calderon has used art as an escape since her family immigrated from Mexico to the United States in 1994.

She has exhibited artwork across Texas since 2004.  

Through her work, Eva is able to connect with other outcasts and build a community for those who also feel lost in the world, offering art as a bridge between isolation and belonging.
